Texas Center for the Missing's Internet Safety Education Program is designed to teach parents and educators how to keep children safe from abduction and Internet lures. Attendees will be taught to minimize the risk that children will be lost or abducted; abduction prevention techniques are discussed, as well as what to do if a child is abducted; and a parent's role in prevention and search efforts. This program includes:

  • Parent education on how to keep children safe on the street and on the Internet
  • CyberBullying Prevention and Reporting Tools
  • CyberTipline Information
  • Distribution of Street Smarts and Safety: Keeping Our Kids Safe/Find My Child brochures and Parent Internet Safety Tips.

THIS PROGRAM HAS ADULT CONTENT AND IS NOT APPROPRIATE FOR CHILDREN. THEREFORE, WE ASK THAT ALL ATTENDEES BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD.


Texas Center for the Missing is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to offering help and hope to the missing and their families. As the administrator of the Houston Regional Amber Alert System, Texas Center for the Missing trains law enforcement on the local Amber Alert and provides 24-hour support and consulting to law enforcement agencies in the 13-county region in and around Houston.
