Educational Web Sites

Well summer is over and school is in full swing. Your kids, like mine, are probably spending a lot of time after school on the computer. Rather than letting them waste all that valuable time on pure entertainment activities, maybe you can trick them into actually learning something while they play.

Here are some web sites that can help out:

StarFall.com has games and activities to help your child learn the alphabet, sounds of letters and how to read. It can even teach you sign language for all the letters of the alphabet. Starfall.com also has lots of downloads that you can and color or use to practice writing letters.

FunSchool.kaboose.com has games in Math, Language, Science, Geography and Arts and Music.

Here are some other sites you should check out:

• pbskids.org

• coolmath4kids.com

• funbrain.com

• primarygames.com

Hopefully sites like these can help your kids get a step ahead this year.
